Finally, A Place We Call Home

It wasn’t too long ago that the aspiring homeowners Randy and Nina Kanapi were searching for a place to raise their small family and call home. They wanted to make sure it was something they would carefully deliberate on and not buy in haste. Randy is working as a Marketing Manager in Makati City.

The South has always been the location of their choice but originally, they were only thinking of the Alabang-Las Piñas area. However, after searching through the different properties in the district, they were disappointed to find the place to be congested. After considering many options, the couple agreed to purchase a property at another subdivision. However, before the actual purchase was made, Randy found himself driving to Sta. Rosa one morning, alone and without Nina’s knowledge. As fate would have it, he just drove into South Forbes.

“It was very breezy that morning. I immediately liked the aura, the ambience of the place,” Randy recalls. Soon after, Randy would bring in Nina to see the place for herself. It was love at first sight for both of them. They were also pleasantly surprised to discover that the property was not as expensive as they thought it would be. The decision to buy a property in South Forbes came pretty fast for the couple. It just took them a whole week to decide.

Newlyweds Francis and Janice Bonggo just got married in December—it was a marriage nine years in the making. They had both lived in the same village in Muntinlupa, but only met in college. They were together for nine years before taking a big leap into holy matrimony. When they finally got engaged, they started looking for a place of their own.

“It all started in a Friday night way back last October 2005,” Janice begins. “We were invited to a party in AIM [Asian Institute of Management],” Francis continues. “While we were at the party, there was a projector that flashed ads about the Bali Mansions and South Forbes. I think it had subliminal messages implanted on it,” he joked because later on Janice broached the subject and the possibility of buying property at South Forbes Golf City.

They found a leaflet and looked through it. They thought they could afford the monthly installment and said to themselves, “Kaya natin ’to!”

So the next day, Francis went on managing his metal trading business in Cavite with Janice and his future mother-in-law. After that, her mother met with some friends while Francis was busy. Since they were already near Sta. Rosa, they decided to check out Bali Mansions at South Forbes.

They were toured around the property and they found it to their liking. “I could see the mountains from here,” Francis says, “and I thought that it was just starting so it might be a good investment.”
After the tour, they met in the sales office where they were presented with the whole vision for South Forbes. “We liked that too,” Francis says with Janice echoing the sentiment.

Two months after making their first big purchase together, Janice and Francis got married and they couldn’t wait to start building their house in South Forbes.
